The China Arbitration Summit 2020 (Summit) will be held on 9:00am, 22 September 2020 (Beijing Time, GMT+8). The Summit is jointly hosted by China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), All China Lawyers Association (ACLA), co-organized by Renmin University of China, Beijing Lawyers Association, China Banking Association, Chinese Real Estate Association, Insurance Association of China and Legal Daily, and supported by the dispute resolution institutions and international organizations from nearly twenty countries and regions.
As the high-profile gathering of China’s arbitration community, the Summit will be broadcast live across the world online, with Beijing as its main venue. The Summit will focus on the theme of Work Together, Win Together — Global Innovation and Development of Dispute Resolution in Face of COVID-19, discussing and exchanging ideas on topical issues in international arbitration including “New Situations and New Challenges in International Dispute Resolution”, “‘Belt & Road’ International Arbitration Cooperation and COVID-19 Response”, “Virtual Hearings as Innovative Practice in Arbitration”. Well-known experts from home and abroad will speak at the Summit to share practical experience and research results on international arbitration in the new era, to contribute their wisdom and insights on the responses to opportunities and challenges, and to promote integrated development of international arbitration.
The Summit will be half a day event. Simultaneous interpretation between English and Chinese will be provided. We cordially invite representatives of arbitration institutions, arbitrators, lawyers, in-house counsels, scholars, and friends with a common interest to participate in the Summit and the China Arbitration Week.
